What about gentlewomen?

gentleman  gentlewoman  gender  equality  -  September the 8th 2011 by xiroV
Today is a rainy day in Denmark, and I went out for a smoke in one of the breaks. I'm clever enough to always have an umbrella in my bag, and it really came out handy today. I was the only person in my class who brought an umbrella, and I was probably one of the only persons who didn't get wet while smoking. A guy from my class saw my umbrella and said (as a joke) to one of the girls: "If he really was a gentleman, he would give you the umbrella".

Again.. He said this as a joke, but I couldn't help thinking "The question is: Would she give me her umbrella, if she was the one having it?". My guess is no. Why? Because women is considered the "weak" gender, who men should always try to protect (even from rain).

But in the light of all the hysteria about gender equality, I don't see why not? Remember that it's the women who are talking about unfairness between the genders, but are they willing to lose their role as the "weak" gender in exchange for equality in other areas? I mean.. We all talk about women should earn as much money as men, and should be able to work just as much, but have you ever heard about gentlewomen?

Don't get me wrong thou. I want equality between the genders. I'm just afraid that the feminists will keep taking, without giving, and that we (men) will end up in maybe 100 years as the "weak" gender.

As an end to my story, I did end up giving her the umbrella, after I finished my smoke, and went inside.

Couldn't agree more.. This gender game is simply sickening, and I'm tired of all those 'golddiggers' and greedy females who demand just about everything, but doesn't show the same goodwill back, and looks down on any guy who happens to be below her.
The phenomenon that women has a right to take and be given everything they want, but not be just as giving, while at the same time talking "equality" is a cultural failure, and needs to be uprooted.
